Pain dislodged it rises
from heart to mouth
Tasting its smooth round hardness
til you can roll it round the back
of your throat
And it burns
Hearts of fear of anger
the pain of what's been done
Physical acts on bodies
mental torture of the system
reacting together and blocking
And holding
Frustration and stagnation
of wanting but
being held down, being held back
Giving birth to a stone
no amount of love
will turn into a child
Because up against those who
show no remorse
no desire to recompense
Vicious with the power
they are not meant to have
decomposing in their rhetoric
The pain becomes companion
A mark of who we are
A constant to hold on to
when living with fear
Healing must happen
in community
Is community defined by what it excludes?
Come
Unity
